A new presidency to amplify the voice of the FAIR collective
FAIR has a new President. On June 25, 2026, the Board of Directors unanimously elected Imène Maharzi to lead the association. She succeeds Pierre Rispoli and takes the helm of a collective of nearly 160 members committed to making social finance and social impact finance a powerful lever for major social and ecological transitions.
A President driven by a longstanding commitment
Imène Maharzi has built her career at the crossroads of finance and impact. Trained as a financial auditor, she branched out as early as 2012 into impact entrepreneurship before co-founding Weastem in 2025, a firm geared towards speeding up transitions in European finance. She now advises institutional investors and investment funds on their strategy, both in France and internationally.
Firmly convinced that finance can—and must—reshape the real economy, Imène Maharzi intends to carry forward the association's mission by championing a vision of social impact finance that is both rigorous and accessible.
FAIR has laid the groundwork: a consolidated network of members and partners, a well-established Finansol label, the production of benchmark data, and a strong foothold in French and European regulatory debates. Yet faced with ever-growing social and environmental needs and tightening budgetary constraints, the time has come to step up to a new scale. This is the momentum that Imène Maharzi is determined to build on.
Her ambition is to bring the collective together around a renewed purpose: making social impact finance a powerful driver of the major transitions ahead.
2027–2032 Strategic Plan : shaping tomorrow's priorities together
As FAIR prepares its next 2027–2032 Strategic Plan, Imène Maharzi will lead a collective process to adapt the association's priorities to a profoundly transformed economic, social and geopolitical landscape. This work will bring together members and stakeholders from across the collective so they can speak with one voice in advancing the vision of finance at the service of the real economy and the common good.
"I am deeply honoured by the trust that FAIR's Board of Directors has placed in me. I am stepping into this presidency as both a handover and a shared milestone — building on thirty years of work carried out in France, across Europe and beyond, by the entire FAIR collective, its ecosystem partners, and through the reach of the Finansol label.
FAIR's strength lies in this plurality of voices : grassroots actors, financial institutions, asset management firms, experts and civil society — all pulling together to secure recognition and funding for what genuinely matters. My leadership will only amount to something if it helps amplify and channel this collective intelligence.
In the face of social and ecological fragilities that have now reached a critical point, social finance must grow to rise to immense needs — while staying true to its standards and its roots in local communities. It must serve a more human economy: one that rebuilds connection where shocks have torn it apart, and enables every citizen to fully find their place in society again."
Imène Maharzi, President of FAIR
"After a term marked by deep commitment in service of FAIR, I am delighted to hand over the Presidency to Imène Maharzi with full confidence. At a time when fairer, more transparent and more socially responsible finance is needed more than ever, I am convinced that FAIR will continue to stand out as a key player in making finance a powerful driver of social, societal and ecological transformation."
Pierre Rispoli, Chairman of the Management Board of Esfin Gestion, Interim President, Bureau member
"A new presidency is always an opportunity to challenge ourselves. FAIR has successfully consolidated strong foundations—from deepening the commitment of financial sector players to driving innovation in savings products. Imène's arrival, together with the work on the next strategic plan, provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on the challenges that lie ahead."
Mage Loys-Carreiras, FAIR Bureau member
"The transition towards impact finance cannot be driven by isolated actors. It requires bringing together expertise, aligning commitments and building collective influence. With Imène, FAIR has a President equal to these challenges—someone who knows how to bring people together and demonstrate that alternative models are not only possible, but already taking shape."
Yves Pellicier, Chairman of the MAIF Group and Chair of FAIR's Nomination Committee
